June Food Festivals in Toronto
The weather is heating up and the patios are opening! June is the perfect time for Food and Drink festivals in Toronto.
Taste of Little Italy
Date: June 16th – 18th
Where: College Street between Shaw St. and Markham St.
Highlights: Live music and large patios
Need to Know: FREE!
Toronto Beaches Rib & Beer Festival
Date: June 16th – 18th (various times per day)
Where: Woodbine Park – 1695 Queens St E
Highlights: Ribs and Beer! Live music, vendors and interactive activities for kids
Need to Know: FREE! Pets welcome but require a waiver. This festival is back in Toronto in July!
Night Market TO: Halal Food Tour
Date: June 17th (2pm – 2am) and June 18th (2pm – 10pm)
Where: Harbourfront Centre – 235 Queens Quay West
Highlights: 15-17 vendors serving halal-friendly foods. The Halal Food Tour will be available in Mississauga, Milton, London Ajax and Brampton.
Need to Know: FREE! But you need to reserve a ticket on EventBrite
Taste of Asia
Date: June 23rd (5pm – 11pm), June 24th (11am-11pm) & June 25th (11am-5pm)
Where: Kennedy & Steeles, Markham
Highlights: North America’s largest Asian festival with over 150 Food vendors!
Need to Know: FREE! But be prepared for long lines.
July Food Festivals in Toronto
It’s the height of Summer in Toronto! The below festivals reflect the diversity in Toronto from India, Greek to Latin America!
Summerlicious Toronto
Date: July 7th – 23rd
Where: Participating Toronto restaurants
Highlights: Participating restaurants have a pre-fix menu for brunch, lunch or dinner at a fixed cost.
Need to Know: Require reservations, check the City of Toronto’s website.
Taste of Lawrence Scarborough
Date: July 7th – 9th
Where: Wexford Heights – Lawrence Ave East between Warden and Birchmount
Highlights: Over 130 vendors, rides and live music
Need to Know: FREE! But parking is limited
Downtown Toronto Rib & Beer Festival
Date: July 14th – 16th (various times)
Where: Yonge and Dundas Square
Highlights: Ribs and Beer! Live music, vendors and interactive activities for kids
Need to Know: FREE! Pets welcome but require a waiver. This festival is in Woodbine Park in June!
Festival of India
Date: July 15th – 16th
Where: Toronto Centre Islands
Highlights: The Festival kicks off with a Parade starting at Yonge & Dundas to the Queens Quay. At Centre Island, the Festival will have vendors, live outdoor Yoga, music and performances.
Need to Know: FREE! But you must pay to use the Toronto Ferry or Water Taxi to get to the island.
Canadian Peruvian Fest
Date: July 29th (12pm – 9pm)
Where: Nathan Philips Square 100 Queen Street West
Highlights: This Festival is celebrating Peru’s 202nd Independence with live music and food from all of Latin America
Need to Know: FREE! Use of public transit is encouraged
August Food Festivals in Toronto
As the summer starts to close in Toronto, enjoy these amazing food festivals!
Canadian Food Truck Festival
Date: August 4th – 7th
Where: Woodbine Park – 1695 Queen St E
Highlights: Halal, Vegan and Gluten Free options
Need to Know: FREE! The Food Truck Festival will be in Burlington, Pickering and Brampton on different dates
JerkFest
Date: August 10th – 13th
Where: Centennial Park – 256 Centennial Park Road, Etobicoke
Highlights: Food vendors, food demonstrations and musical performances
Need to Know: Tickets are required for entry
Taste of Danforth
Date: August 11th – 13th
Where: Danforth Ave. and Pape Ave.
Highlights: Lots of Greek food, live music and shopping
Need to Know: FREE! Public transit is encouraged
Taste of Manila
Date: August 19th-20th
Where: Bathurst Street & Wilson Avenue
Highlights: Celebrates Filipino culture, food, music and community.
Need to Know: FREE!
