Recipes with Cinnamon and Nutmeg are simply amazing! Cinnamon and Nutmeg is my favourite spice combination because they taste so comforting and warm. Cinnamon and Nutmeg are not the same, rather cinnamon brings a spicy flavour and nutmeg brings in a nutty taste (without actually having nuts).
When we think of cinnamon and nutmeg recipes, we first think about fall baking. But cinnamon and nutmeg can be used all year-round! These two spices go together very well and below I have 100+ recipes with using this combination.
This list includes sweet potatoes and of course apple pie! Scroll or use the links below to jump to the section.
Are Cinnamon and Nutmeg interchangeable in recipes? Cinnamon and nutmeg are not the same, rather cinnamon brings a spicy flavour and nutmeg brings a nutty taste.
What spices go with cinnamon and nutmeg? If you want to keep things ~spicy, add another spice to this combination! Try adding cloves, allspice, turmeric, ginger and/or star anise to your next savoury or sweet dish. Pumpkin Pie Spice is actually a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger and cloves.

The Selva Dome Experience 🦁
✨ I've been sick this past weekend so we are taking a look back at My Selva Dome Experience. @selvatoronto
✨ Selva Toronto is a bar/reso experience located at 221 Richmond St. W. We went to the Outdoor Dome Dining Experience which is currently taking reservation! I recommend checking out this restaurant and this experience because the food is amazing!
✨ The menu has since changed but I had the: Mezcalita Cocktail (more on the savoury/bitter side) and Apple Cider Mojito. 🍹
✨ Yellowfin Tuna with fresh tortilla chips
✨ Grilled Broccolini, Grilled Denver Steak, Crispy Fish Tacos & Slow Cooked Beef Brisket Tacos. The tacos comes with either flour or corn tortillas (I chose corn). Delicious!
✨ Corn Gelato. We also got the Chocolate Trio but I preferred the corn gelato because it wasn't too sweat and it was a refreshing way to end the meal.
✨ This is what the 'dome' looks like. There is a controllable heater inside along with lights

A mini celebration
✨ This past weekend was Diwali! My family and I don't celebrate it *hard core* but we did cook good food and ate delicious desserts. 🍮
✨ Before Diwali, I was craving hot soup - so we went to Pho at @nam2vietnameserestaurant everything was delicious and I had enough for lunch the next day.
✨ We ordered the Fried Chicken and I got the rare beef Pho. 🍲
✨ I've been trying all of Starbucks Holiday drinks and food for a YouTube video (check my bio!) and this past weekend I finished my 2-part series. ☕️ @starbuckscanada
Which Holiday food should I try next?

In-store cafe vibes ☕️
✨ This is turning into a coffee account! Artizia has an in-store cafe called A-OK Cafe. There are several locations but we went to the Vaughan Mills Location. @a.okcafe
✨ I ordered the cappuccino with oat milk and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were delicious. My favourite part of this cafe is the cutest dog mascot 🐶
✨ After a few hours of walking around the mall, we stopped for Mr. Preztel's cinnamon and sugar pretzel. (the best flavour IMO) 🥨 @mrpretzelscanada
✨ For dinner, we went to The Keg and had burgers and steak. For appetizer we ordered the Crispy Cauliflower, so good! @thekegsteakhouse
Is the A-OK Cafe going to take over my 🖤 for Arabica coffee??

Coffee and donuts ☕️🍩
✨ Is it really a weekend if Arabica Coffee isn't part of it? After a filling brunch I bought my ~usual Kyoto Coffee with oat milk and walked around Restoration Hardware. We sat on v expensive sofas just for the fun of it. ☕️ @arabica.ca
✨ I had a quieter weekend, I think this is the calm before the Holiday Season storm. But I did buy Halloween-inspired donuts at Krispy Kreme. I highly suggest the "Mystery Machine - Chocolate Iced Sprinkles". 🍩 @krispykremecan
The weekend in food posts are quickly coming to an end! Less than 10 weeks left of the year!

✨ @love_gelato has really great options for dairy free gelato. I bought passion fruit and strawberry.
✨ On to another gelateria! I went to Gemma Gelateria and of course I had gelato 🍧 (I think this was the coffee flavour)
✨ Magnum Ice Cream makes the best almond ice cream bar (dairy free) that I ever had. It tastes like the real thing, which is hard to find. @magnum 🍫
✨ At the CNE, I tried the Barbie Ice Cream (vegan). This melted so fast it's a miracle I even got a picture of it. (It was good though)
✨ Finally, we have just good ol' school Ice Cream Truck Ice Cream. I always get a "medium twist with chocolate dip". What's your go-to at Ice Cream Trucks?

Weekend in Food #41 🍂
I really wanted to see the fall leaves this past weekend, so I drove about 2.5 hours north of Ontario to check them out! It did not disappoint! We visited a small town in Ontario named Huntsville and hiked a couple of trails at Arrowhead Provincial Park.
✨ We hiked the Stubb's Falls Trail - under this bridge was a small waterfall. Simply being away from the city was peaceful but this is unmatched. 🍁
✨ We went to couple bakeries in the area - Windmill Bakery and The Nutty Chocolatier. 🍫
✨ I'm not used to restaurants closing so early but that's part of the ~small town vibe. For dinner, we went to a local restaurant called Mill on Main (Main Street is where Downtown Huntsville is located). The Food was fresh and delicous!
✨ Downtown Espresso is a newer cafe in the area and their croissants are popular. But they didn't have any croissants when we went but we ordered a cappuccino with oat milk which I enjoyed. 🥐☕️
✨ Finally, I ended off the weekend with back-to-back Thanksgiving dinners. I'm full and ready to eat healthy! 🦃🥗

SEPTEMBER 🍁🍃
The end of September and Weekend in Food #40 came together in 1 post ☺️
Starbucks launched their fall menu late August so I tried the Apple Crisp Macchiato and the Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte. The Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte is amazing, I should order that again!
I went to Cafe Landwer for the first time, it's a cute vibe! I had the croissant and the herbal tea.
The end of September ended up to be a donut craze! I had Crave donuts for the first time. The Honey Crueller is light, fluffy and so tasty. I can easily eat more than 1!
Of course, we went to my favourite coffee house - Arabica Coffee! I always get the Kyoto coffee and the barista made these 3 hearts 💕
We saw Andrew Schultz at Scotiabank Area on his tour. And after we needed dessert so we went to e11even and ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding. The plate was practically licked clean 😅
We're entering spooky season! Give me costume ideas!
